This year the Red Deer Tennis Club presents a very professional staff. Rene Simon: Head Pro Expertise & Achievements:Rene played in the Slovak National League and also coached in Europe from 1990 to 2001. In 2001 he moved to Calgary where he worked full time in the Tennis Academy as a junior and adult coach for 5 years. In a short time he helped to create top players in Alberta, and top 10 in Canada. In 2007 he started working with the Red Deer Tennis Club and moved his family to Red Deer in 2008. This year, Rene is coaching our own Marianne Badenhorst who will be going to Turkey to compete in the World Championships. On the junior side, there has been many great improvements. One outstanding team member is Mark Hamill who achieved a number one ranking for U14 boys in Alberta, Alberta Champion, and top 12 in Canada. Certifications: Frans Badenhorst: Club Staff Frans has been a junior member of the Red Deer Tennis Club for a number of years.
